Through my engine builder's and my evaluations on the 1MZ-FE block, we think that the sleeves on the 1MZ-FE block are actually pretty strong. It has a closed deck design and has thick sleeves (at stock bore) that are plenty for making great power. There will be many people who say it makes no difference etc but I have only had over 30mpg tanks with liquimoly mos2 in the oil.
