The Springfield XD-M shown here is different from a Glock in many important ways. As far as Wayne's concerned, the XD's trigger is the Big Kahuna. He doesn't like it. Not a bit. It's too "squishy.". Wayne prefers the Glock's on-off-style clean trigger break and shorter reset. More IMO, not because of the weight difference, but because of the higher bore axis of the XD. A higher bore axis creates more flip. Another reason why I prefer glocks over XD's. I don't own an XDSC, but between my 19 and XD9 service, the XD has more muzzle flip. The XD45 is right in between the 30 and 36 in terms of width. I was surprised when I put the XD next to the 36 and the 36 was just a touch thinner. Back to the 30 and XD, I personally like the XD a lot. For 9mm, Glock wins over XD, and in 45 XD wins over Glock.
I shot the XD terrifically, especially as a newbie. I noted the features on the XD that were lacking on the Glock (ambi mag release, grip safety, chamber loaded indicator, striker-cocked indicator).
