The faster you string your shots together the better they help. I THINK they stabilize the barrel more than they keep it cool.Mini-14 "Mo-Rod" Barrel Stabilizer. bobby28. Ok is there a difference between the Har-Bar and the Accu-strut and Mo-rod. The Har-bar is about $160 the Accu-strut is $99 and the Mo-rod is 89. I was shooting open sight groups of about 4" @50 yrds, with noticable stringing as the barrel got hot. Although my opinion is biased (I make them), I think they look pretty cool on the Mini-14 as well...
