The good news here is that you can use any universal remote that supports DIRECTV satellite. The same remote codes work for both. I personally prefer the DIRECTV-branded universal remote you see here.So something changed in the last update. It's a minor irritation for sure, but like you I have one receiver that I use specifically when I am changing bedding, folding laundry etc and it stays on the channel I watch while doing that. Not anymore. Now it turns on to whatever channel was last tuned in on any other receiver. Glad it's not just me too!
