hi gm truck club! i'm looking for some technical information on a 1991 gmc topkick with a 366 truck block with tbi fuel injection. it is actually a tow truck, 17 or 19' rollback. it belongs to a friend of mine whom i do side work for. he was on his way back to the shop when the engine overspeed light came on, and the truck sputtered to a stop.Apr 24, 2017 · 1. Oils have changed so much over time I didn't know if the owners manual would actually recommend the best oil from what was available today. Can anyone provide part numbers, or know what years/engines cross-reference?The 366T bore is 3.935 the 454 bore is 4.250 a difference of .315 the 388T block will only accept a .125 over bore. So you can’t get there from here. Additionally there is a difference in stroke of .24 inch 3.76 versus 4.00 with the same length con rod of 6.135 inch. Therefore the stroke difference has to be made up in the piston pin location ...A 383 is a 4" bore 350 block, with a 3.75" 400 crank. The 366 already has a 3.75" stroke, and the bore only needs .065" taken out to make an even 4". A cheap small block 350 piston could even be used in the 366. A 6" rod 350 uses a 1.260" pin height. ….
