Matchmaking in normal dares, legend dares has it off. Yup there is matchmaking in the normal version, which is all you need. It can drop from the end or you can use the Treasure Keys in Xur's Treasure Hoard at a shot at it.
I ground out legend dares for days last week to get enough red borders to craft BxR. I falsely assumed legend gave higher drop rates, but it took 3 days to get 3 red border BxRs on legend, and just one day to get two red borders on normal Dares. I also got lightning rounds and Kashn Prizes just as frequently on normal dares. Hi all, I've completed an initial run of Dares of Eternity but it still not showing up as an activity which will drop Powerful Gear when I hover over it. Has this activity stopped giving powerful gear as part of the weekly reset? Did you already run it this week? I could be wrong, but I think powerful drops are capped, just like pinnacle drops. ….

Dec 10, 2021 · Dares of Eternity represents the best of the best when it comes to offensive round-based activities in Destiny 2. It’s dynamic, challenging, requires cooperation, and is still quick enough to complete to run multiple times without getting bored. Plus, the reward system makes it well worth coming back to and fully unlock. One of four things need to happen. Either we need a weekly bounty (or something) that gives us a guaranteed red border weapon drop for a specific weapon. Or we need to be able to buy an engram that guarantees a specific weapon for x amount of strange coins. Or the red border drop rates in DoE needs to be raised significantly (+200-300%) OR!!The Other Half sword remains an exceedingly elusive and rare drop from Xur’s Dares of Eternity quest two months after the 30th Anniversary update. While some lucky fans have been able to obtain this Halo-inspired purple sword, the Other Half has yet to be discovered by the majority of the players.
