Hi, I was driving a 2007 3.9L 6cyl chevy impala when a "engine hot-a/c off" dashboard light came on.the engine temperature gauge was on cold. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs? Aug 5, 2020 · So I am hoping that it did not go all the way hot, and the first thing to check is the main drive belt on the front of the engine then after it cools down a few mins. check the coolant level as well. If it is low when it is cooled down some you can add some water slowly and look for leaks.
