If you want to go internal then the forged 4.500 cranks are a better option. The cast 4.15 and 4.300 cranks that i have used internal balance up ok. Valve reliefs are designed with appropriate clearance to fit most types of standard and aftermarket heads. (Designed Specifically for the SCJ and Kaase Cylinder Heads). Ive seen stroker kits run about the same price as decent aluminum heads. I have a freshly rebuilt set of D3VE heads that I'm halfway done porting. Nothing super great but should be decent.
