The FireFly is the same gun rebranded and with some improvements in reliability. I owned a Mosquito a few years ago and suffered many feeding issues. Those problems have been resolved in the FireFly.
Maybe it'll smooth out with some use. I have a 22/45 but I prefer the GSG 1911-22 that I chose rather than the Firefly. The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like).Common complaints are: trigger sucks, inaccurate, failure to eject, failure to go into battery, mag problems and overall cheapness. Unfortunately, Taylor does not list the firing pin as one of their parts offered. Looks like my options are; 1. put the Firefly into the safe and let it collect dust, 2. find a gunsmith to fabricate a firing pin, or 3. toss the Firefly into the St. Johns river.
