Honda diagnosed faulty door lock actuators. There's a thread out there somewhere about this fix on an older model, and it was soldering a jumper wire into the body control module ... I noticed the cable snapped, but when that happened, both sliding doors stopped working in manual mode. The passenger side will still open and close in automatic.
