Jeep jl second battery location
mine jl is about 3-1/3 years old. 40k miles. Lots of start and stop driving. It started to start weaker and weaker. Replaced the main battery and aux (surprisingly easy). It starts super easy, but voltage when running read 11.6 and head down fast to 11.2 and then it says it's gonna turn off. Will not rev above 3k rpm. Out of warranty.It depends on the dealership. The battery has its own warranty of 3 years, no mileage limit. However, it's not clear if that applies to the factory battery or not. Most agree that it does not. the aux battery is a 12 month warranty except for the original which is covered for the full 3 year 36k miles.Disconnected battery to change the dash out. If you had them installed from the factory you would then have them in the fuse box location. You have to double check your pins behind the actual switch buttons. The main battery must charge the auto start stop battery while its parked. Within 5 miles it started up with Service Shifter again.. Took it back.. 2nd - Chrysler engineering then had them inspect and re-seat all harness connections. Road tested 6 times without issue. Kept it a second night to test drive again the next day. All looked good and no codes were set. Picked up tonight, within 15 miles same issue.Update: Jeep has been at the dealer for 10 days. Service initially thought it was 2 dead batteries. I went to pick the Jeep up from the dealer last night and the same issue remained with the screen coming on in the Instrument Cluster.

N1 is the (if you're standing af the front of the Jeep looking at the fuse box) the furthest circuit coming in on the right side. Listed on the fuse box as Aux battery / something. In the N1 above it also circuits over to an aux battery but that diagram has like every JL in production on the same diagram also ...

At some point the main battery went dead after that. When I asked at the dealership whether driving with a dead aux battery could drain the main, they said that it was a possibility.The main battery in my 2019 3.6L finally died. While replacing it I figured I would do the by pass of the smaller battery at the same time.
