In have a 2015 freightliner cascadia cummin isx engine, the ***** *****ght is ON. I used Cummin Insite to check for fault codes and got 2398, TomcM28. Owner. Associates. 20 satisfied customers. 2015 freightliner m2 106 isb 6.7 fault code 2398. M2 106. I have also replaced the ambient temperature sensor.The sensor is located in the headlight harness. The HL harness runs on the underside of the hood from LS HL, fastened slightly below the grill to the RS HL. The air temp sensor is in the harness near the grill. Its slighyly easier to access the sensor from the passanger side. FYI, this sensor is your ambient air temperature sensor.

Last year on my Freightliner that sensor went bad and was telling the computer that it was 500 degrees when it was around -10. The computer didn't know to warm the DEF and the truck didn't like slushy DEF. It might just be that sensor.It was named Air temperature sensor, instead of ambient air temperature, lol... It connects to the wire harness and no wiring diagram is needed. Take the one you got back and order an OEM part. They are about 25 bucks.The 2018 Ford Escape's ambient air temperature sensor is located at the very bottom of the grille at the front of Your vehicle on the driver's side, and can be replaced by simply popping it out with a screwdriver; no removal of other components are required.
