The Big Thompson is fishing great. The water has started to rise now that the sun has come out. The flow is 295 cfs now. It is looking like runoff is going to be starting soon. Fished with Ryan from 7am to around 1230. We had 7 slots biggest at 25.25, 6 legals and a perch. All but 2 fish came off of jig n minner. We started the morning fishing in 2-8 FOW. Caught 1 slot and a legal with alot of hit n misses. Midmorning we moved to a sandy dropoff. 8 ft dropping into 14-16ft.Water Temperature. 60 °. Was able to get some largemouth off beds today. Bite overall was tough with fish being really finicky. Had to work for those fish on beds. Right now smallmouth seem to have more weight to them so if you’re in an upcoming tournament try to target those if you can.
