Nest blowing hot air instead of cold
My old thermostat has a "conventional" and a "Heat Pump" and I wired according to the "Heat pump" labels. It's all the same except instead of O/B, it's W in the conventional. I have been running my heater for a few hours at 80 degrees, and it wont go past 71. checked the air coming out of the vent and it is not hot at all.is it blowing hot air or room temperature air? Most heat pumps (the O type heat pumps) will run in heat mode if there is no voltage on the O line, or if the valve (I forget what it's called, not HVAC professional) that changes between heat pump and AC has failed. In that case it will blow hot air, not just room temperature air.
