Congrats on your standard duty plow. I put one on my 1500 crew with 1 1/2 level kit. I ran 500 lbs of ballast in the bed. Suspension and power wise, the truck handled it no problem, and pushed great. The weakest link was the cooling system when transporting the blade, especially the trans temp would creep past 240F.Mounted a SnowDogg MD68 on it; bought 5 steel rims (again Craigs! for $75) and put on snows. It is a dream-machine for my 500' drive and fun to drive w/o plow, too. The wife even plows with it when I'm out of town. 2002 Jeep Liberty, auto. No snow tires (yet) SnowDogg MD68.The other one we cut the main support at the front holding the 2 arms together and rewelded it straight. Hard to tell exactly where yours is bent without looking at it person. I'm sure like Paul said it can be fixed for around $500. Good luck. Thats sort of waht I was getting at, I would try that first if it was me.

I have a Western ultramount plow, which when hooked up to the truck wiring, the pump will run as if it was building pressure, but will not move in any direction. Dec 31, 2015 · I've heard that Boss has fast hydraulics and that new SL3 Led lights look good on the boss, not to mention light output. As far as Western, its taller,has two shock absorbers, seems more reinforced and easier to hook up IMO. Just an update: I had a good days worth of plowing yesterday and found that 6 inches is probably the minumum amount of clearance that I'd want on my plow!
