When I would take more of it, like 3-5 g, I’d get this pleasant drunk like affect. I take extended release 5htp, once at night, kratom all day. Both help my mood and sleep greatly. 5htp- less than 300mgs, idr the exact strength. Kratom - I take 10g 3 to 4 times daily (quite a bit, I know) Maybe with antidepressants it'd be a different story, but kratom and 5htp are a beautiful combo.Kratom acts like an opiate and stopping use causes withdrawal. Might not be as hardcore as oxy, but it’s very much addictive. It’s just not your experience. I’ve never cared for opiates so I doubt I’d get addicted to kratom. My husband loves opiates and used Kratom to get off them.
