If the Check Engine light was illuminated, chances are that EyeSight was not the primary problem, but rather that EyeSight had shut down because it depends on another subsystem upstream that had malfunctioned and/or shut down.

I've taken several 8 hour long trips in my 2022 crosstrek. I've never had any issues with eyesight or adaptive cruise control.
